If you live or fly out of San Mateo & Santa Clara counties, join the Santa Clara Valley Chapter. Other chapters in our area include Bay Cities 99s (Oakland & East Bay), Alameda County 99s, Santa Rosa 99s (Sonoma County), Sacramento Valley 99s and Monterey Bay 99s.
If you are outside of the greater San Francisco Bay area, you can find a chapter closer to you on the 99s International Web site »
You’re Invited:
All women pilots are invited to attend our regular monthly meeting to get to know us and join our international community of women flyers.
You don’t have to have to have your license to start enjoying the camaraderie and the fun of flying with our chapter. Student Pilots are welcome to join the Ninety-Nines. Student Pilots come to our meetings and participate in our fly outs and other events. For more info, see our Student Pilots page »
Membership Benefits:
Our goal is to support and encourage all women pilots on a personal level. Through friendship, financial support, and aviation education, we enjoy spreading the joy of flying to all women! When you join the Ninety-Nines, you join ranks with thousands of women pilots from 44 countries.
- More flying: Feel like flying, but have nowhere to go? Our chapter typically sponsors at least one flying event every month. If you are a student or don’t want to be PIC, there’s often a spare seat available.
- Shared experience: Hanger Flying gives us an opportunity to vent frustrations and to relive victories while learning valuable experiences from each other. Join us to celebrate accomplishments during our monthly meeting with cupcakes!
Aviation education: Monthly meetings often feature educational topics to help us become better and safer pilots.
Our chapter members actively pursue education for ourselves and our community. We participate in career days, promote special educational events, and host seminars. Fun and educational field trips can include visiting FSDOs, museums and control towers.
Financial support: As a member of the Ninety-Nines, you become eligible to apply for a variety of Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarships. If you are a student pilot member of the Ninety-Nines, you can apply for the First Wings scholarship.
In addition, several other Ninety-Nines chapters offer scholarships that are only open to Ninety-Nines members.
- Support for the local aviation community: Our members are informed and involved in many local aviation activities such as Airport Days, Young Eagles flights, and air shows. Our work in the community helps build a positive image of aviation and helps to improve the quality of the aviation community in the present and for the future.
- Friendship: Most important, our shared experiences and love of flying form the foundation for lasting friendships and connections.
Membership:
You must be a licensed woman pilot or a student woman pilot to join the Ninety-Nines. Licensed pilots do not need to be current. Student pilots must have current medical certificate.
Please read the application form carefully to determine other membership eligibility requirements and the appropriate dues.
